I got an email one time from a fellow in Yakima saying he'd just seen the web page and really wanted to try Vintage Motocross sometime. I emailed him back right away and said nevermind "sometime" - be at the track on Saturday with a bike you can race- and he made it happen. Since then Bill Grubin got faster and faster until he was neck & neck with me, and then to my dismay he kept getting faster until he was totally out of reach and I stopped trying to stay with him.

At the beginning of 2003 it became apparent that PV Bikes would no longer be welcome at Ahrma Races in the Northwest Grubin founded Hammer & Tongs. This Summertime Vintage Motocross Race later became a Vintage Series in Washington. But after the first year he turned his attentions to starting a quality shop to serve the community including Vintage.

This is a formidable undertaking, but it's happening. Vintage Racers are constantly on the hunt for parts and Grubin & Co have parts for numerous bikes- Suzuki especially - but also planety of parts for Yamahas, Hondas, Kawasakis, and a big selection of Vintage Racing Pipes. The Shop will officially open likely the first of the new year. The Shop itself is filled with Vintage Racing Memorablia, and has elements of a Vintage Motocross Museum. But it is a full service shop- (shot of Service Area in the photo below) And he may have the coolest Pop Machine ever.
