Woodland,
November 2005 Driving
Rain all week, morning motos almost perfect, rain increasing though the
day, very muddy by the end of the race day, 174 entries
New Riders included Dylan Olson, Mike Norwood and the return of Steve
Pulsinelli. Welcome back, man. JT Kroupa and Sadie Simmons (who are engaged)
won their respective classes. Michael McCook visited from the East Coast,
albeit w/o riding gear and beheld mud rain and horsepower all mixed up
in one day.

There
were 326 Entries at round 2 at Woodland, as well as a record 15 entries
on the 100 Class. The weather
was postcard perfect.
The surprise of the day was the appearence of unknown Jim Anderson, #19
on an older YZ250 who was staggeringly fast, passing even Monty Price
to take the Evolution 250 Class.
This year there are again a crop of new faces-Dan Vendenheuvel, Pat Munyau,
Mike Rall, Scott Koch, Shane Paasch, John Street, George Arvay, Stan Jensen,
Patrick Greeb, Seth Stanfield to name a few.
Sadly we learned that Woodland has been sold, and that this Winter Season
is very likely the last year of VDR Racing at Woodland.

Ward Creek 2005
Ward
Creek is traditional start of the VDR Fall to Spring Season. Weather
was perfect, which meant use of the hills. The trademark of Ward Creek
is the blend of steep up and downhills on dirt and natural terrain. (see
above) The track is in Raymond Washington.

AHRMA Pacific Team prepares
for Split
for Pacific NW Region from CA and NV for 2006 Season
Hannegan
Speedway Len
Lowery, Mark Schmidt & I drove North to Bellingham WA Wednesday
Night to check out Hannegan Speedway for a possible 2006 Ahrma Regional.
We were given the red carpet treatment, and pleased with the possibilities
of what we saw. Ahrma currently has only one race in Washington
State, and we hope to add more races for the coming year. -ed.
