Portrait of the sort of rider who exemplifies the true Northwest VMXer: didn't stay home because it might rain; Iron man Lyndell Raphael campaigned FOUR Classes,
tangled with competitors, went down very hard, and got back on the horse for more.
Inca shot (inset) taken in the Andes of Woodland at the end of the day after eight motos.... Woodland, December 2005 • As often happens at Woodland it was near perfect day even though weather predictions scared off many brave motocrossers, sadly resulting in a very light turnout • 144 entries: 70V, 74E • There was little rain at all- and enough mud for the track to set up very nicely but not enough to stick to anything- Last month's weather report was identical, and it was very muddy. So those who stayed home missed a very good day of racing.

BRETT GIBONEY took the win in 250 Vintage Expert on his CZ Special take a look at the
above photo of Brett- note that there is very little mud on the bike- and almost none on him at all.

Mike Giskaas took the MX360 to a 1-1 victory in Open Vintage Ams
