Converted to Maico Stu Osborn stretches the legs of his new 440. A feeling of satisfaction and relief came over me at the finish of the GP at Goldendale even though the Maico had lost 3rd gear somewhere out on the course. Six hard laps at speed for a solid hour and that thing utterly floated across the rough stuff. And I kept it on two wheels!! Can't
wait to see how it works with a Lago Motocentre repair and some parts
and fine tuning. My helmet is off to Fritz Guenther who took me under
his expert advisement at the track. A very fast bike for me, but I'm
planning on being the owner that the thing needs. Can't say when anyone
will see it out there again..because it needs the cases split but once
it hits the track again, I'll be ready to open it up. Man that thing
is nice.
